Éimear Bradley

Éimear started playing the violin at the age of seven in her native Belfast.
After completing her music degree she moved to the North West of England to develop her career both as a teacher and as a performer/writer. As well as singing and playing the fiddle at her live gigs, Éimear enjoys playing the guitar, piano and whistle on a few of her songs.

In a short space of time, Éimear has built a solid reputation as a brilliant fiddle player and musician as the lead fiddle player/violinist and musician in the critically acclaimed show 'Essence of Ireland' .

Éimear was the fiddle player with top folk/country band 'The Bogtrotters' for 4 years and was also in Adrian Edmondson's (The Young Ones/ Bottom) band 'The Bad Shepherds' for a short period of time.
These opportunities led to performances throughout the UK, as well as Germany, St. Lucia and Holland.

Eimear has guested live with Liverpool band Amsterdam and played on Anthony John Clarke's album, Iona ac Andy's album (of which Maartin Allcock was the producer) and Alan West's album alongside Albert Lee and Sarah Jory. Éimear is currently in the band 'Shanacie' ('Essence of Ireland') alongside Sarah Jory (Van Morrison).

Mark Richtie from 'The Stage' said in his review about 'Essence of Ireland':

'... in particular, a beautiful and gifted violinist/fiddle player, Eimear Bradley, are integral to painting such a vivid musical portrait.'

Anthony John-Clarke commented:
"Éimear Bradley is a ferocious talent. Her playing takes the genre to stunning new heights and her songs and voice are quite magical. In a word, OUTSTANDING!"

Gerry Anderson, BBC Radio Ulster said:
"Fantastic. You're going to hear a lot more of this girl. She's going to be huge!"
and "Multi-talented singer-songwriter from Belfast...beautiful...a star in the making..."—

George Jones, U105 fm Northern Ireland commented on his radio show
"Extremely Talented singer-songwriter & violinist from Belfast" .

The Irish Post review of the show read
"The band Shanachie played brilliantly all night especially violinist Belfast native Eimear Bradley who made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up as she played".

As well as credited session work on films including the soundtrack to the Bob The Builder movie 'Built To Be Wild', Éimear made an appearance playing the fiddle in Demi Moore's supernatural thriller 'Half Light'.

Éimear has remained true to her Irish roots and her contemporary celtic folk-pop songs and instrumentals have received many great reviews from BBC and other folk radio stations in Ireland and the UK.

Tracks sent to radio stations have produced incredibly positive feedback; "Brilliant!" said BBC Radio Merseyside; Gerry Anderson of BBC Radio Northern Ireland commented, "Fantastic", "Beautiful" and "You're going to hear a lot more of her", proceeding to then play a track six times in five days.

George Jones on Belfast's U105 has also complimented Éimear's tracks. Eamonn Friel on BBC Radio Ulster, Phil Brown from BBC Radio Lancashire and Lisa Flavelle From Downtown Radio, Northern Ireland have also given airplay to her music.

Éimear's songs are uploaded in the listening area of the website on the main front page.

Lots of new songs have been written in 2010 and will be up on the site when they are ready.

Éimear's act with a live band will be hitting venues during 2011 when she is not on tour with 'The Essence of Ireland' show.
